I'll come to believe that I have no luck at all:

I still have the ribbon receiving the F10 key event 
I've clicked in the terminal area (selecting the folder .ssh in the left pane) and pressed the F10 key and took the screenshot at this moment... As you can see the letters in the ribbon area are shown as if I've clicked on it before pressing the F10 key.
If I press the escape key right after that, the letters disappear the the focus is set on the terminal control. But if I press the enter key it open the ribbon, cursor keys move between tabs (Home/Edit/Data/...) until I press Esc to return to the terminal.
I've sent you an email with an export of the verbose log output. After enabling the verbose log, I've fired the logs view and erased all previous events then in order:

Click on the tab of the connection

Click inside the terminal area to be sure to have focus on it

Pressing the F10 key

Click on the logs tab to export the list
